Trust God like know one else:
Count the cost! Luke 14:28 says, “ For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?” Nobody said that life the life we live in this world would be a easy one. In fact, Jesus said the opposite. He said, “Because they hated me (the world) they will hate you.”
This might sound a little discouraging. But, wait! There is good news! God didn’t leave us alone to tough it out. By the power of the Holy Spirit, God Himself has come to reside inside of us and lead us into all truth.
The reason I started this blog out by saying “Trust God like no one else” is because we cannot love God unless He gives us the power to do so.
In fact, we cannot do any of the previous things, mentioned in part 1 through part 5 of my previous blogs, without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This should be good news, because God didn’t leave us here to fend for ourselves.
Knowing I have this power, I can wake up each day and walk in the love, grace, and power of my Heavenly Father. This allows me to do the following:
Love my husband like no one else, Love my children like know one else, be a friend like know one else, Seek God like know one else, and Trust God like no one else.
I once heard a wise woman, whom I respect say, “God is good; God is in control; God’s way work.” You can place your very life on these truths. Who better to place your trust, then the creator of the universe? He’s the one who can change your life.
In closing, in my life I’ve found my biggest growth is a result from having walked through difficult times. As I’ve walked through these tough circumstances and placed my trust in my Lord and Savior I’ve found the peace, love, and joy I’ve been searching for. I don’t want to be normal……………Do you?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11
