Radical Thinking

If you have been reading my updates on facebook, you know that I’ve ventured into the world of coupons. And I might add, I’ve been getting alittle crazy with it. I want to take it as far as I can go and see how much money I can save on my family’s food budget.

Infact, I was in Bed Bath & Beyond the other day running around like a crazy woman trying to get some coupons or deals from the customer service counter. I think they thought I was alittle wacky. However wacky, I did end of saving $54 dollars. Never hurts to ask.

Anyway, my point is sometimes it takes radical thinking in our lives. There are numerous of things people can be radical about: shopping, exercising, health, golfing, fashion, interior design, cooking, and sports.

How about being radical about believing God or trusting His word at face value?

As Easter (Resurrection Day) nears, I cannot help but to ponder upon the gift my God gave me by sending His son who died and rose from death to set me free from sin.

“Death no longer has dominion over Him….the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God…”Romans 6:9-11

This freedom allows me and you to live a radical life with endurance.

This Sunday my Pastor listed some daily reminders which are elements to the life of endurance:

The sovereignty of God – Do you believe God has sovereign power over your life-know matter the circumstance?

The love of God – Do you believe nothing can separate you from the love of Christ?

The faithfulness of God – His word says, “I will never leave our forsake you.” Do you believe it?

It takes radical thinking to live a life of victory.

My challenge for you this week is to see how radical you can be. Are you seeking out God’s word each and everyday? Is there an area in your life where God wants to use you in radical ways? Is God speaking to you right now?

You know what? It’s ok if we look alittle crazy sometimes…………..Let’s live in light of eternity.
