Even in the mist of a very busy week, I’ve enjoyed these days leading up to Resurrection Day (Easter). I decided to use resurrection eggs to show Brandon the meaning of Easter. I took 8 eggs and filled them with an object representing the theme for that day, a verse, and a piece of chocolate. If you aren’t familiar with resurrection eggs, let me know and I’ll give you more info. Anyways, I came home today to find that Brandon had taken upon himself to open every egg and had eaten the chocolate out of them. He was even nice enough to close every egg and place it back in the basket where he found them. It was too cute for me to get mad.
It got me thinking. Do I live with that same kind of anticipation? As I ponder this week at the ultimate sacrifice Christ gave, do I feel an uncontrollable urge to go impact those around us with the love of Christ? Do I eagerly and joyfully except the freedom, peace, and joy that were given to me? Is my soul bursting at the seams to know more and more and grow as much as possible in the knowledge of God?
I’m excited to let God take this ordinary woman and use her for extraordinary things…….
I pray, dear sisters, that you feel overwhelmed by the love of Christ this week. I pray you would be rooted and established in the love of Christ. I pray you would know the power of Christ that can restore, heal, rejuvenate, and renew you.
Claim it! Receive it! Believe it!
Anticipate it! It’s even ok if you eat all the chocolates at once.
