I believe so often we walk through life without giving a second thought to why we are doing things that we are doing. The world is so full of noise and busyness that it is so easy to be pulled away with the current. I am not immune to this. I have to be on guard like everybody else.
That is why I love mission statements and vision statements. They help me to stay on course. They help me to answer the questions:
Is what I am about to do the best option for my family, especially in this season of life?
Why am I doing what I am doing?
Why do I believe what I believe?
Often times, we can say we value one thing but our actions or lifestyles speak something else.
Here is a worksheet I did many years ago. I thought it might be helpful for some of you who might be struggling to determine what your core values are.
