Reading over the story of Jesus’ life it doesn’t take long to see that He often went off to a secluded place to have quite time with His Father. He wanted to do the will of His Father. I think we want to follow God’s leading and direction for our lives, but we get off track with all the “things” of life that scream for our attention. Here are a few tips to help add little margin to your life:
Turn off the tv, computer, cell phone at a set time in the evenings.
Get on a budget.
Stay out of debt.
Choose a day to unplug from the cell, computer, ect.
Plan a date night at least once a month (or more) with your husband.
Have one day out of the week for complete utter rest.
Have some quiet time with the Lord everyday.
Determine how many activities will work for you and your family. You don’t have to do them all.
Take some time once a year for complete relaxation (vacation, staycation- staying home, retreats, ects).
Make the time in your day to eat healthier and to exercise.
Get out and enjoy life…. have alittle fun.
Learn to say “NO!”
God is pursuing you and He wants to have a relationship with you. But are you moving at such a fast pace that He can’t get your attention? What would it take for Him to get your attention?
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matt. 11:28-30
