Full Access to God

I am literally writing this before I head out the door for a weekend get away, However, it is so strong on my heart. This is what I have gleaned from a book I am reading at my women’s bible study called, The power of God’s Whisper by Bill Hybels:

Jesus did all the work when He died on the cross and rose again. We now have full access to God. We have been given an invitation to have a deep relationship with God. If we would give Him all of our life, we would have full access to power, full access to fulfillment, full access to love, full access to grace. And in this kind of relationship there would be continued growth.

I don’t know about you, but I wanted everything God has for me. I don’t just want the mediocre. I want the fullness of Him. I can walk through this life limping along trying to figure everything out. Or, I can place my life in the hands of the One who knows the plans He has for me.

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,  and having a High Priest over the house of God,  let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.  And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrew 10:19-25
